Ok my computer was struck somehow through a Surge protector and now won't turn on. I have changed the power supply and that still didn't help. I have opened it up and looked all throughout it yet nothing looked chard or broken. here is some pics of the Power supply and MOBO tell me if can see anything that doesn't look normal and what you would recommend i do.

If the lightning struck the ground then there could be ground fault cracks, we cant see those from the images.
Your best bet is to
A) Keep spending your money and replacing parts until it works.
B) Take it to a local shop and get them to make it work.
Both are expensive, but it's your call.
When there is lightning unplug your machine from anything that it's connected to.

I had a very similar issue today with mine. Can anyone spot what may need changing on my desktop?

ok its been a while now and just wanted to inform that its still working....I had to replace the 56k modem recentlly but nothing major since. I have recentlly bought a new surge protector from tigerdirect and have only my computer pluged into it and if I happen to be home I unplug from wall and the telephone line. So far everything seems to be working just as it was.
