Title: online playing with friends

My friends and I are looking for a good game we can all get to play online with each other. We like games like age of empires but cannot get them to work for some reason. We came across a problem because i have a macbook and they have pc's, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any games similar to Age of Empires that could be played online with each other and is compatible online with both macs and pc. Thanks.

Apart frome Rome: total war (brilliant) which I'm not sure if it plays online, don't think so. I cant think of any strategy games with that kind of quality to play online. What is the problem your having getting AOE to work?

I don't know, we haven't actually tried it. We read somewhere that the pc version can only play with other pc people and macs only with other macs. Not sure about it though.

Are you not using a Windows emulator?

They have AOE for Macintosh computers...

But if he gets the emulator then he can use the PC version.
