Whenever I save a .gif image to my pictures they show up as a white box. I have no problems with the other forms of images showing up. I just started using Vista and have a brand new laptop, so I don't know if its my computer or vista. My xp computer never gave me problems with that. I know that the images aren't protected or anything because its all .gifs and I even uploaded one of my own .gifs from my old computer onto the internet and tried to save it on my Vista computer and got the white box again. Any idea what's going on?
Thanks for your time!

What folder are you saving the images to?
Vista does have native support for *.gif images.

I'm saving them to the "my pictures" folder. I thought it would be odd if Vista didn't support them. I'm going to see if Dell can help me.

I am not sure of your exact problem but you could try opening the image in 'Edit'.
I then saved a second copy of the image in file format .jpg, or .jpeg and deleted the original.
Worth a shot.

Thanks for your help! I started using a screenshot and saving them from there which is working out pretty well, but I'm definitely going to try your way and see if its easier. Thanks again!
