It won't read CD's or rip them. When I tried to rip a CD this is what came up. ("A CD drive is needed in order to rip music from CDs.") I reinstalled WMP 11 but I had no luck. I ripped 4 CD's last week without any problems! Thanks..
-
Can you see CD content in Windows Explorer?
Did you try different player?
-
Thanks for your reply. What I done was a System Restore and now it works for some reason. I've noticed that some CD's won't read using Windows Media Player! I just ripped 3 with no problem. AC/DC Back N Black wouldn't read! My step-son has Roxio software,so I guess I'll download it soon.

Try VLC player

Would I be able to copy CD's and videos onto my computer so I can burn them?
-
yes
-
I downloaded VLC, but I can't figure out how to copy music onto my computer.
-
Where do you want to copy music from?
-
My CD's that I have. I want to download them onto my computer so I can store them onto my USB drive.
-
You have to rip CD.
I use Audiograbber: http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/
-
I downloaded Audiograbber. How do I get the band's name and titles to the songs to show? All it's showing is Track 1,2 e.t.c. and the lentgh of the songs.
-
Click on "Freedb" button.
-
Thanks. I clicked on the computer tab before I clicked grab. It didn't save in my documents. I'm I doing something wrong?
-
I don't see any computer tab. Simply put the CD in and click on "Grab" button.
-
I'm doing everything that you're saying to do,but the songs aren't saving! They are showing"copied ok". I can play the disc by clicking on the play button at the bottom. It's just nowhere saved. Any suggestions?
-
When you click "Grab" button, this pop-up window should open:

When the ripping is done, you'll find all ripped songs in a folder listed under Settings>General Settings:

Thanks so much! :) When people show examples like you did,it makes it so much easier. By the way,how do you paste those images? Do I just copy and paste?
-
You're very welcome :)
To get an image into your post, you can either attach it, or upload the image to to some image hosting site and paste the image as a link.

Oh,ok.
