When I am playing games my computer shuts down. I have been told I may require a better power supply. Currently I have a 650W power supply. Any Ideas and what other info can I provide?
-
For most machines that should be sufficient...unless it's one of those cheap 20 Dollar models.
DLoad install and run SpeedFan and post your temps...both at idle and under gaming conditions.

Here is info you requested and some additional info:
Power supply is an OKIA ATX power supply.
I have 1.5 Gig RAM.
Biostar GeForce 6200-MP Mother board for AMD processor.
AMD Athlon 64 processor 3500+.
NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT 1GIG RAM Graphics Card.
SPEEDFAN info
IDLE GAME MODE
CPU 74C 74C
TEMP 1 127C 127C
TEMP 2 127C 127C
TEMP 3 30C 32 - 39C
TEMP 74C 74C
CORE 43C 46 - 51C
IHOPE THIS HELPS.
THANKS

You're overheating...open the case and do some housekeeping.
-
Way too hot. Get some compressed air and blow the dust out
-
yes if cleaning doesnt help get you a better fan and replace the thermal paste on the cpu!!!
-
maybe get a second fan if theres room, not replace the one there is. Thats if cleaning out the dust doesnt help
-
I'm not sure, if this is overheating problem here.
I suspect, this:
CPU 74C 74C
and this:
TEMP 74C 74C
are temps for video card, and this:
CORE 43C 46 - 51C
is CPU.
If that's true, 74C is not tragic for GPU
I may be wrong though :)

Now that I think about it, there was another person who posted speed fan temps and those were 74 too....
