Title: Monitor only displays no signal then turns off
Post by: handyman12 on August 30, 2009, 03:03:52 PM
I turned off my computer and when I turned it back on the monitor displays no signal, then turns off.  I have a additional vid card that I tried removing, but nothing changed.  I am Running XP with 2G ram
Since I never see anything when I turn on the computer What do I do to know what I am actually doing?

Check your monitor cable connection.....make sure it's in tight....then try another monitor.

Have you tried the display on a different computer?

Did you enable on-board video in BIOS after removing card?

I have tried 2 other monitors besides the original.  3 sets of cables 2 of which are brand new.  If the BIOS is the problem. How can I change it blind.  I have not tried reseating the RAM. I will do that  I hear the fans running, but if there are any beep codes I wasn't listening for them so I don't know.
