This is a Suma motherboard, I had not heard of them (well maybe something about memory ICs a few years back). So I am not too surprised to be having a difficult time locating info (or files) on it.
To be honest I'm not sure of the board's model (I was hoping to find out more from MFG).
I found out on-line that it's made in South Korea.
http://www.suma.co.kr (http://www.suma.co.kr)
The Reverse IP (http://www.ip2country.cc/?q=110.45.146.23) look-up comes back.
Country Name: KR - Korea, Republic of
Reverse Lookup: 110.45.146.23
Unfortunately I can't read Korean.
I am posting this in hopes someone here may have another source of info on this company, or know something that might help me find some information on 'Suma' Mobos. I have yet to determine who is an authorized sales/service center, in the USA!
Anyone know?

A model number would help.
Suma may also go by the name Aopen.
You may get more info on Suma by going to Tom's Hardware:
http://www.tomshardware.com
edit:
Are you sure it is a Suma motherboard?
It may be a BioStar.
Without the model number it is a guessing game.
-
Well I have given it a good once over...And that was my best guess.
* I pulled all the IDE, PSU, and cards out of the board and carefully looked it over. And it is not plainly marked by any sense of the word. I didn't pull the board from the case. You think it would only be there?*
Where might I confirm Aopen? I am about to chase the link you suggested.
-
I need to get on to bed. Work starts early tomorrow.
Thanks Geek-9pm, but I will have to continue this tomorrow afternoon. (I probably will get on here CH at work) but it will be when I get back home before I can pursue this further.
-
Ignore what I said about Aopen. Bad guess.
Suma is a maker of memory and graphics cards. I do not think their motherboards are sold here in the USA. Perhaps in Latin America.
-
Hmmmm What did you hear?
I'm not having any luck on finding info on the system board.

Does the machine boot? If so, download Everest
http://majorgeeks.com/download4181.html
Open it, click Computer, then Summary.
In upper menu, go Report>Quick Report-Summary
Save it in text file, and paste it in your next post.
Don't include anything under line Debug - PCI
-
doesnt anybody want to ask why
the orig poster wants to update the bios

Good Idea JJ! I should have thought of that!

Oh the reason I am interested in a possible BIOS update is the PC is having regular "freezing" issues. The event log seems to indicate a possible problem with windows ability to keep harmony with it's installed devices. All additional ones (except integrated) *including RAM substitutions* have been removed to observe if the behavior was still present. It is.
So I thought the next logical step would be to check to see if BIOS was the most current release... and go on from there.
What do you fellas think?

When was the last time you blew the dust out of your computer with a can of compressed air?
-
First thing when I opened it up.
Was in a non-smoking environment. So I was pleasantly surprised. very clean. Still the CPU fan had of course collected and deposited a little bit of the standard dust-linty materials in the fins of the CPU Heatsink...
I have found the web links now to supposedly check on that BIOS update. As of yet I have not gotten any info on a board as old as this one from there.
-
Is this your motherboard?
http://www.motherboards.org/mobot/motherboards_d/PC%20Chips/M787CLR/
The link above also has info about the BIOS, Drivers and Manual for the PC Chips model given by Everest.
Rather that flash the bios, I would suggest you try an update for the drivers for the board, if you have not already tried that.
-
That's the board alright! So my Suma done turned into a PC Chips LMAO!
Well that doesn't bother me as much as seemingly no board drivers, or BIOS upgrades being available for it!
I have worked through a plethora of XP updates that it was due. Seemingly that has helped it a bit. I will look into it more this afternoon!
Thanks for the help guys!
Good Morning to you all.

OK i'll bite...
Why do you need to flash the BIOS ? ?

For any old computer, it's not a bad idea to see if it's using the latest BIOS.
BTW,I prefer CPU-Z for summary of computer specs. It will show the BIOS version on the Mainboard tab.

after the Post- no BIOS code is run. Why? Because it can't run while the CPU is in Protected mode anyway, since it's real mode code.
Things that whole help:
More of the everest log
These "Event log entries" that make implications.
