Title: Questions about download files with IE

when copy url  to adress bar ,such as "******.avi ",
i think ie will show the download window.
but ie didn't work like that.
so i install a software called free download manager.
i can't download too.
why??

and sometime right click and select "save target as ",it work
but when use free download manager ,user name an password are required
need some help

It sounds to me like the content you are trying to download is protected! If so you will require a user name and password to download it.

To be on the safe side try using a different web browser. Firefox is my choice as i use it with Flashget Download manager, but in this case use Google Chrome as it has a better download system.

are you sure you're pasting a url on you browser? because on your sample the extension is .avi
make sure that its a correct url.

You are copying an address to a specific file...somewhere out there on the web.
If the file has been moved and or the site changed it'll never work.
