This is a homemade laptop. All I know is what everest told me. I ran ubuntu and the sound was fine. I read that many people fixed the no sound problem with some microsoft live update, but when I tried the link it was bad.
I have the audio driver in a folder but can not seem to download it. Everything seems to work fine except for the sound. Please do not send me a link to driver detective or any such programs. They do not work and they have filled the internet with spam. It is really frustrating trying to fix a problem when all that comes up is these shameless advertisements for crap programs that say they are free, then want to charge you to fix the problem
