Title: admin account can not change system time
Post by: archenstone on October 04, 2009, 09:14:05 PM
hello, I've checked everything I can think off but for some reason my admin account can no longer change system time. I was able to do this yesterday but now I can not. I checked my privileges in group, user, local policies...made sure my admin account is still admin even downloaded the support tools for xp and checked myself in cmd whoami /all and it says I have the permission and yet I can not change it.

Any ideas?

edit: I am using xp pro sp2

I was able to do this yesterday

Do a system restore to before the problem started.

Thank you for the idea! Unfortunately I had to disable system restore while dealing with some trojans/malware. Any other ideas or places to check my settings in?

Are you part of a domain or a stand alone machine?
