Title: no list of suggestions appear when i am searching for a web site
Post by: ladypenelope on October 12, 2009, 09:02:00 AM
Whenever i am searching for a website in my google search bar, a list of suggestions normally apperar underneath whatever i have typed which is always very helpful as it helps me to narrow down whatever i am searching for.

As of late this does not happen anymore. Instead i get an error message stating:

''YOUR CURRENT SECURITY SETTINGS PROHIBIT RUNNING ACTIVEX CONTROLS ON THIS PAGE.  AS A RESULT THE PAGE MAY NOT DISPLAY CORRECTLY'''

has anyone seen a similar message apperar. How on earth do i get my activex back??

Open IE
Tools - Internet Options
Click on 'Security' tab
Click on 'Custom Level' for 'Internet' zone
First item is for 'ActiveX Controls & Plugins'
Change it from 'Disabled' to 'Enabled'
Restart IE

Did that help?
