Title: Adsl modem/Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station

Hello people of ComputerHope.com/Forum

I need to get a Adsl Modem for a Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station,
As it's a router, can the new Adsl modem be a router two,
I'd like to get a apple Adsl Modem as i have just buy d a AirPort,

As i have be with NetGear i do not mind, but i'd like a apple modem

Hello
A modem can not be a router. OSI model sets standards for networking. Follow the link below for a simple explanation.

BTW these r international standards.

Any modem will connect  with the Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station,this is your router. All the modem basically does is let the ISP provider give u internet access. The router lets u share the internet signal from the ISP Provider. Hope this helps to understand basic home networking. Write back and let us know. The people at Netgear made it white for marketing purpose only. This device will work with any router.
