There should be an option in Options to close the Macro Bar down.
Let us know if your still having trouble.  ;)

I do not have Word Perfect right now but I think the fonts were on the "Format" toolbar.  Try enabling that toolbar.

Try this; in Word Perfect's menu bar, go to "Tools" and then "Settings".  Then click on "Customize" and go to the "Properties Bar" tab.  In the list, select "text".  The toolbar should change immediately.  Let us know if it works.

The easiest way to post the screen shot is to attach it to the post.  To do that, click "Additional Options..." while you are on the reply page of this topic, click the "Browse" button, and browse to the file you created.  When you post the reply, the file will be at the bottom of the post.

An Error Has Occurred!
wordperfect.wpd.
You cannot upload that type of file. The only allowed extensions are doc, gif, jpg, mpg, pdf, png, txt, zip, log, bat.

hi kip,
this is what i got when i added the attachment...

Instead of pasting the screenshot into Word Perfect, paste it into Paint (Paint can be found in the start menu under "Accessories").  When you save the file in Paint, save it as a JPG file.  Try posting that file instead.

dear kip,

this has been a problem for me for quite awhile - PAINT is NOT in accessories.

i went into "search" for paint and found many of them.
i clicked for "copy" to send a pic of them to you, but the copy/paste will not cross the threshold between word perfect to internet.

check your personal mail.

thank you.

For XP Pro
%SystemRoot%\system32\mspaint.exe

Search for mspaint on your PC.

Try copying one of the mspaint.exe files into C:\WINDOWS\System32 and running it from there.

Go to "My Computer", the C: drive, "Windows", and then "System32".
Now, copy the "mspaint.exe" file into the System32 window and try running it.

Open the word perfect file and double-click the image.
Now right-click the image and select "Copy".

Go to Paint, click "Edit" in the menu bar, and select "Paste".
The image should now appear in paint.
Go to "File" in the menu bar and select "Save".
In the save window, change the "Save as type" to "JPEG" and save the file wherever you want.

Now, attach the new file the way you tried last time.

I got your email.

To put the Paint shortcut back in the start menu...
1)  Go into the start menu, right-click on "Accessories", and then left-click on "Open All Users".
2)  When the Accessories window appears, go to "File" in the menu bar, then "New", and then click on "Shortcut".
3)  In the shortcut window, type "%SystemRoot%\system32\mspaint.exe" without the quotation marks and click "Next".
4)  Type "Paint" without the quotation marks and click "Finish".
Now, Paint will be in the start menu under Accessories.

To get the toolbars in Word Perfect back to normal...
1)  Go to "View" in the menu bar of Word Perfect and click on "Toolbars..."
2)  In the toolbars window, check the boxes next to "Property Bar", "Application Bar", and "WordPerfect 12".
3)  Uncheck the boxes next to "Font" and "Macro Tools" and click "OK".
4)  Go to "View" in the menu bar of Word Perfect and click on "Ruler".
Your toolbars should be back to normal now.
