Title: CPU upgrade?
Post by: timtim41 on November 19, 2009, 06:40:34 PM
I have a Dell Inspiron E1705/9400 with an Intel Core solo T1350 @ 1.86Ghz, and i was just wondering what types of upgrades are possible with this kind of notebook. It's nothing really important, im just curious. Thx

The only upgrade would be adding memory if the computer will support more RAM.  I see at http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3188 that it was sold with 1GB but the website does not say whether it will support more.

What version of Windows are you running on it?

For a memory upgrade I recommend Crucial (http://www.crucial.com/), they have an option that will scan your system to find the correct memory for it.  You can then either order it directly from them or make a note of it and buy it locally.
