Happy Thanksgiving everyone and Go Gators!
I am trying to post a "Portfolio" web page to my college's FTP server. Locally, everything works great. I reviewed some coding this morning and believed I had fixed everything. My PDF files work great, and a graphics web page that has a *.jpg file extension works great. I have one web site - change management - that I created during my first semester, which also works great. However, I have 3 web pages that prompt me to overwrite a target directory n\n\n being the newest directory, and a smaller file size. The source directory is n/n/n written on its original date with a larger file size. I tell it to overwrite, and the web pages "go haywire." Can someone please help me with my final project for this class with regards to FTP hints? THANKS!!!!!!

Are you using an FTP client?
-
I am using Filezilla.

Righty.
So, you want to upload a newer version of a particular file. When you do, it asks you if you want to overwrite the old file?
-
Yes but the older file is the one I want to keep cause it's the one that's working.
-
Does it not give you the option to keep the original?
Instead, maybe try EFTP (http://www.encrypted-ftp.com/).

My options are skip or overwrite. I'll check out EFTP. Thanks for your help.
