Title: pc no vidieo after cleaning

after opening pc and using dust remover on pc i no longer get video when i power it up. I get get all lights fans power supply, and can feel the hard drive humming just no longer get video to either of the two monitors i have, all i get is a beeping noise coming from inside of the case.

Running windows xp OS, amd 64 athlon processor, with video card anything else you might need please let me know.

Sounds like you jiggled something loose while dusting. Check to make sure the video card is seated properly and all connections to and from the card are tight. Then make sure the cable(s) to your display are properly connected.

Thanks i did look it over but i will double check. I have one more question if i can get this back running the hard drive uses sata cables for data and power but will also use the four prong power can i switch to the four prong and have it still work properly.

I forgot to mention that i also do not get video from the on board video either,

The 4 pic power connectors are called Molex plugs...
You will need a Molex to SATA adapter.

Try another monitor.

Before the cleaning process i hooked up another monitor and was running extended desktop, for some reason when it is completely powered off and unplugged it recognises the secondary as the primary and will only come on if it is the only monitor hooked up. I don't know if this is a xp OS setting, or the ati video card settings causes this.
