Hey, i had a general question here. im doing some work for a friend and it deals with webcams. so this is the current situation. he wants to put a webcam in his clients house who lives a good distance away, and he wants to be able to view it from his computer at work/home. how would i go about setting this up and what would be involved? anyhelp whatsoever would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

why does he need to do this?.......whats wrong with remote access......he would need software to run a webcam......and the pc left on......

Kinky.
You would have to connect any [simple] webcam to the computer, leave the computer on and most likely use a program that allows you to remotely connect. As Merlin pointed out.

something as simple (and free) as Yahoo Messenger will allow you to do that.

How will it?
