Title: xp wont print on win 7
Post by: glathem40 on February 28, 2010, 08:14:07 PM
Greetings All - After many searches and waiting on HP to respond, I thought I would try you on what I think is an HP problem.   I have a pentium 4 xp home sp3 desktop that was connected to an hp photosmart C4600 series printer working fine.  I bought a new hp win 7 desktop and the printer is now connected to the win 7 comp.  I have successfully networked the 2 computers (dynex 4 port wired router).  I can see each computer from the other and transfer files between.   I ran the xp print wizard - found the printer on the network and installed it.  When I go into printer properties and print a test page I get the following window.  (printer works fine from the win7 comp).  Thanx in advance for any help.

So the HP is using USB?
Put the HP back on the XP machine and make Win7 find it on the network. It nay take awhile for HP to solve this one.
