Title: cpu fan in my labtop starts then stops

the BIG bosss  just handed me his labtop and asked me to fix it

i asked him wat's wrong and he said the fan is bad

i asked him did it give im any warning sign's and he said no but he shut it down because he did not want to break it

i looked at it and turned it on looked at the fan it started spining but then it stoped about 10 sec after i hit the power button

i am a kid who works at a company and my boss left earily and i don't know how to fix it

can i plz get some help

NOW i ran "fan learning" under  the bios and it started making bad nosies

The laptop fan is supposed to do that....
