Title: Upper Case and Lower Case
Post by: stevener11 on March 13, 2010, 10:38:16 AM
I am running Windows Ult 7 on a Sony All-in-one.  I  am doing some Web developemnt(Javascript) and I am fit to be tied.
If I have a file, ex:   country.html.  I open it and then save as Country, then I go to the Folder and the file
is still named country.html.  Same if I try renaming it.  And, yes I am in  the same Folder.  ??????? ::)

while NTFS is case sensitive, Windows Explorer is not.

You can rename the file in command prompt if you need specific cases.

I think the culprut was Prog Notepad 2.  It automatically makes a backup of each file I open in it.  Won't let me change the
name while a backup exsists of the old file.  I turned off "Make a BU file in Prog Notepad II.  All is good.  Thanks.
