This is a hard one to explain, so I'll use some screenshots. The printer is an Epson Stylus D92, and I'm running W7 Ultimate 64bit. The printer worked fine with a Vista laptop using the same programs.
I have just updated the driver to the latest version (which is Win7 64bit compatible (http://esupport.epson-europe.com/FileDetails.aspx?lng=en-GB&data=wsMoc1iChVEdQQkLmgbaVPcGOfZ3QOxH2qVWmm7ylEsU003D&id=325182)) but still no luck. Following other recommendations from online searches, I changed the default printer to the Adobe PDF Convertor virtual printer (which actually solved another problem I was having) but didn't solve the problem.
As you can see from screenshots below, the Adobe PDF printer was set as default. Upon choosing the Epson printer from the lists, the whole program froze up and I had to force-close both programs. These are not the only programs affected though, from what I can tell, every program is affected.
I have tried numerous online searches, but my problem is that I don't know exactly what to search for!
I have tried unistalling all the printer software/drivers and installed again but no luck either.
Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro:

Thanks in advance for any light on the problem.

I suppose this means no one has any ideas....

I was unable to install my Epson stylus DX4050 on a new windows 7 laptop, I emailed Epson support & they replied they haven't released a driver for windows 7 yet & to use Windows Vista Drivers which are fully compatible.
It worked for me ... hope this helps.

Thanks. I'll try that.

You're welcome ... hope it works for you.

Well, I have got the latest Windows 7 drivers (http://esupport.epson-europe.com/FileDetails.aspx?lng=en-GB&data=wsMoc1iChVEdQQkLmgbaVPcGOfZ3QOxH2qVWmm7ylEsU003D&id=325182) installed, but I'll try emailing them.

They told me to use Windows Vista drivers on W7 which worked fine , this was about a month ago & Microsoft hadn't approved W7 drivers, but as you have a different printer model it's probably best to email Epsom Support.
