Title: application failed to start because side-by-side configuration is incorrect.

whenever i start an application an error comes out saying 'The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail.'
i already did a lot of searching on the web such as installing that c++ 2005 v86 redistrituble, installing visual stuido 2008 sp1 and some other minor things. However this problem is still around. help will be appreciated thanks.

I was going to tell someone to close this post coz i found a thread that is similar to this. but i dont know why the other thread that i just wrote in isnt bumped at all. Maybe because i wrote it more than 30 days after the previous post was written?
