i have a nvidia riva 128/128tx grafics card (or it at least says so) in a dell optiplex gx150. been trying to get it to be true color but what ever i do it won't. am i going to have to install a new graffics card ? i tried to update but to no avail.please tell me what i need to do and if there is any way to go from 16bit to 32bit.

You need the video card drivers....if you have this card......type dxdiag in the run and find out...
-
i run the dxdiag and found the driver was vga.dll. but in the device manager it says that it is a nvidia riva 128/128zx not a tx.(should wear my glasses it would help a lot.)i was tryingto put in the wrong one.i'll try again to find the right one.
thanks merlin,

Your card is not being confirmed by the *bios*<del key on boot up> ?try reseating.......if not the onboard graphics is taking over.....you will have to disable this option.in the *bios setup screen*and also see if te plug and play option!<is enabled>ok......just like life nothing is easy!.....<throw away comment> post back someone may no more~~

Are you certain you have installed the correct drivers and not the Windows WDM drivers?
-
went to the bios and put it on auto but had to install a vid card. works fine now thanks for all your help.
