Title: What the. what happend here?
Post by: johngetter on May 14, 2010, 04:36:02 PM: ok i was helping some people on the chat. and i wrote something like this...

quote"u need to restart your computer for changes to make an effect................."

and the computerhope bot gave me a warning saying not to spam. i guess it was for the periods i put in.
then i went on this morning and it showed that i was banned from it. hmmm dont i get more warnings for this? i mean its a common mistake. But i dont understand why i was banned for something i accidentally did. ::)
I had to go to work and i didnt sighn out of chat and my son said he helped people when i was gone. Is it possible to track what my son was doing on this chat? Was is him that banned me? what i mean is the quote i had was my fualt but maby he triggered to spam warning also.
anywayz is there a way to be unbanned? is there a way to track what my son had said on the chat? thanks and let me know what he said if u can.

well my question is not really can i be unbanned my question is can u see whats goin in to chat. i mean is it stored?

Yes, I'm sure more then one person as well as the bot itself store a log. I actually regret that I wasn't logging the channel at the time. That would have been interesting to see. They don't ban people for no reason (although hopebot does have quite an appetite and doesn't need much of one sometimes)

As BC stated bans usually happen for a reason.
We have logs for all recorded traffic.
