Title: Sims 2
Post by: 0987654321 on July 17, 2005, 11:39:17 AM
My question is about the Sim 2 but I guess it goes for all the Sims games.  Is it possible to make it load any quicker?  It always takes forever saying "Loading blah blah".  Are there special files or something that I can extract from the CD that would make it take less time to load?

That depends mostly on your amount of RAM, Processor speed, and the amount of video card memory you have installed... Otherwise, no.

Hhhmmm...I have 1 gig of RAM, AMD 64 2400+ (2.4 Ghz), and 128 mb video memory?  Are these good specs?

That is good, however, I'm not sure that even double your specs. could shorten loading time... Sorry  :-/  You might want to contact EA Games for suggestions... However, as far as I can see, there is no way that it can be shortened...

Sims 2 is definitely HD intensive. A faster hardrive might work well. If you can afford it, go for a SATA150 10000RPM hard drive.
