**tip toes into the Apple section**
Hey, I have a friend who has an external hard drive that is HFS formatted that he needs to recover files from. Is there some piece of software that allows the recovery of files from an HFS file system from within Linux or Windows?
It's a long story, but there isn't a Mac available right now to get the files and it's urgent.
