Title: cd dvd queston

I bought a new cd dvd my computer is 1.0 speed the box says 1.3 speed required will this work. The place where I bought it from is closed.

If your talking about Processor speed. you have 1.0Ghz and requirement is 1.3Ghz.

I would say it would work.

I have PC with a celeron thats somewhere in the 600Mhz and I can burn CD's and DVD's Fine.

Dont' worry about the store being closed  ;D. Just install your DVD-drive. Optical drive's(CD-RW/DVD-RW) speed is only determine by their maximum writing speed when burning. Check out this forum and try using CH's dictionary or type search box for any related existing issue. Maybe your talking about this:  http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/g/ghz.htm
