Title: Restore System to factory defaults
Post by: Andrew1600 on July 26, 2005, 06:05:57 AM
I was wondering if someone could answer a question for me.  I want to restore my PC to the factory settings, the way it was when I first got it.  Remove everything that isn't needed, and just be the "clean."

My computer is E-machines, and has windows xp, I also have the restore CD that came with it, but don't really know what to do with it.

If you could please explain what exactly to do, I'd be very thankful.  Something to remember is that I have difficulty working a toaster, so please explain using simple terms that I can understand.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

With your Win XP CD just do a clean install.

Most e-machines have two disks??.....load the cd disk in the drive and reboot pc.....it may ask you that you are going to format the drive and all data will be lost......answer yes to the message  it will do the rest?  and have a cup of tea while you wait.....
