Title: Application cannot be executed. The file****is infected.
Post by: Asusinto on August 26, 2010, 12:34:54 AM
Hi, I have a big problem with my computer. There's this box that keeps popping out saying "application cannot be executed. the file ****.exe is infected. Do you want to activate your antivirus software now?"  I didn't know that I'm not supposed to shut my comp down and I shut it down. Also, there's another pop up on the bottom right corner saying "inflitration alert. Your computer is being attacked by an internet virus. It could be a password-stealing attack, a trojan-dropper or similar. Details: attack from 130.101.63.240, port 14404. Attacked port: 12315. Threat: win32/nugel.E do you want to block this attack." When I turn it on the next day, it's still there. I had malwarebytes anti-malware before but  it was blocked by the virus. I even tried downloading other anti virus like avg , rkill and doctorspyware but they were blocked too. I am now running my computer in safe mode and performing the full scan using malwarebytes. How do i run as administrator? I do not see it when i right-click rkill. Please assist me.
Many thanks. :)

Hello and welcome to Computer Hope Forum. My name is Dave. I will be helping you out with your particular problem on your computer. I am working under the guidance of one of the specialist of this forum so it may take a bit longer to process your logs.

1. I will be working on your Malware issues. This may or may not solve other issues you have with your machine.
2. The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine.
3. If you don't know or understand something, please don't hesitate to ask.
4. Please DO NOT run any other tools or scans while I am helping you.
5. It is important that you reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
6. Your security programs may give warnings for some of the tools I will ask you to use. Be assured, any links I give are safe.
7. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.

After you run the MBAM scan in Safe Mode, reboot your computer and see if you can run any other scans in Normal Mode. If that doesn't work, we'll have to try something else.
