Title: monitor asleep

computer turned on but i restarted it and computer turned on but monitor turned on then said monitor going to sleep its a gateway computer and a hp monitor

Second, You're going to need to provide a LOT more information - about your system and the EXACT problem.

It may be by your opertaing system. Try reinstall your Windows. If it not help view your monitor cable to PC videocard.
