Title: Issues w/ genuine copy of Windows 7
Post by: PuB_Evo on October 29, 2010, 01:34:55 PM
Hey, im currently on assistance with SuperDave, Malware Removal Specialist/Moderator via this thread with the link http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,111553.0.html (http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,111553.0.html)

I was told that this windows copy isn't genuine when im on OEM Windows home premium 64bits. When i validate it at MS site, it also tells me the same saying "Install genuine Windows now. Windows running on this PC is not genuine. To resolve, you must install genuine Windows now. We can help you with that."

Lastly, i have 4 thing i need to attend that happened yestheday while i was trying to solve the other issues with SuperDave as shown below. (Just to update you on whats going on)

I mean, are you sure that the vendor passed on a valid licence?

Contact MS...
Many infections cause this issue
They have an 800# and will issue a new product key.

I guess mine read this...

It keeps asking me to activate the OS now, it also doesnt once ask me to enter the product key at all. I have yet to clear the malware and am in the mids of clearing it with SuperDave (Malware Removal Specialist/Moderator).
Should i wait till the malware clears or contact MS straight away? Is there a site where i can find out how to contact and what number to dial(From Singapore)?

Hi there!

May be this link would help you.

Microsoft Activation Centers Worldwide Telephone Numbers
http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/existing-customers/activation-centers.aspx

The link says about Volume license, but I think it will be the same team.

Please contact them and get it solved.  ;D

Thanks and regards

Is there a Genuine Windows sticker on the PC? And is there a hologram on the Windows install disk?

I had to call them to activate mine. I Talked with a nice lady-robot that told me a long code to activate it. I had to provide the serial number and that's it.
