Title: IE8 times out while accessing online classes
Post by: 1darkness on November 16, 2010, 09:02:44 PM
Hello,
My computer is a Dell Dimension 2400 with WinXP Home. I am not sure if this could be caused by a virus or spyware but, the problem I am having is with IE 8. I am a student taking online classes and I am having trouble accessing discussions and tests. The pages will not load and in the process at times will time out. I also have recieved script errors and error on page notices when I try to submit assignments. At first I thought it was because I was using an old browser, (SBC yahoo dial) I installed IE8 but I still am experiencing the same problems. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Try going through all the troubleshooting steps mentioned on the below link.

If these don't work I'd suggest trying an alternative browser (also mentioned in above steps). Try Firefox or Chrome and see if you get the same results.

Also, where are these classes held?  Are they on a site like Moodle or Blackboard, or are they on the school's official site?
