Title: RAM Compatibility
Post by: Gabriel_Knight on August 07, 2005, 01:32:35 PM
I have an ABIT NF6 series motherboard with a PNY 512MB RAM stick non-ECC. I want to know if I put in a Crucial 512MB RAM stick non-ECC, will I have a problem?

They should be compatible, even if they are of different brands.

However, if you make use of Dual Channel technology, you may wish to get two identical RAM sticks to be on the safe side.

...ABIT NF6...

Abit doesn't list it, Crucial doesn't list it, Kingston doesn't list it.  Time to contact Abit?  Maybe you have the only one made?
