Title: Deleting History from the address bar
Post by: mvg on December 15, 2010, 04:21:33 AM
Although I have gone to Tools/Internet Options/Browsing History... whenever I click the down arrow on the right of the address bar, I keep on seeing visited sites under a History header (a Favourites header with some of my favourites also appears). Even if I click the X button on the right of each entry, they keep on appearing each time I click again in the down arrow and the drop down appears.I cannot ge rid of them. Any hint about how to get rid of that and why it happens?

I have read many articles on this and for the most part nobody understands what is being ask. When you start internet explorer and hit the down arrow, some previous web sites show up.This is how to solve the issue.
1.Start Internet explorer
2.click tools
3.click internet options
4.click content
5.click autocomplete settings
6.click auto complete history
7.At this point I took the check mark out of address bar.close internet explorer and restart it.Now click the arrow down and you should not see anything.Hope this helps. :D
