What's your take on trying FreeBSD on non x86/amd64 hardware?

Meanwhile, which platform do you mean?
Supported platforms ...The FreeBSD Project are...
IA-32, x86-64, SPARC, SPARC64, IA-64, NEC PC98, PowerPC, ARM, MIPS

IA-32 is x86. X86-64 is amd64. Note I said non x86/amd64 hardware.
PowerPC is split into PPC32 and PPC64.
There is no longer sparc support, only sparc64 and sun4v.
Others such as mips and arm are limited.
The ones with the most support are: sparc64, sun4v, ia-64, ppc32, and ppc64.
I work with ppc32 and sparc64.

Why was this moved when it is offtopic about operating systems and an open public challenge? Placing this in computer hardware was a wrong move. It is not a question about computer hardware.
Why is Geek-9pm giving me a reference about FreeBSD from wikipedia? I know what I am asking because I use the system.
Why is BC_Programmer afraid to answer my question himself?

Just my opinion:
1. Don't go up against the moderator's decisions. You won't win.
2. Your question is about using an OS on certain types of hardware and is thus ontopic for this section.
3. You won't make many friends here posting like that.
4. Nobody is "afraid" of answering you. Grow up.
5. Your membership does not give you any right to specify that a particular person answers or indeed anyone at all.
6. This is a help site not a forum for "challenges".
7. There is a line. Don't cross it.

That expression is not specific. Other people read these threads. It is helpful if others can understand what the topic is really about.
And if you do not understand the difference between hardware and software, it just makes things more confusing.

2. No. The question is an open, public statement to a certain individual. This is why it was posted in Offtopic.
3. I don't recall anyone here helping me in real life.
4. If the person wasn't, then that person would have answered. Someone else answered the question for him.
Expecting me to have the exact same understanding as you is being ignorant. "Grow up," as you stated, should also be applied to yourself.
