Title: BSOD After installing Windows 7 64 bit
Post by: Apryldaun on April 01, 2011, 04:27:39 PM
Recently updated my P5QC w/a Core 2 Quad 9505 Processor. 8 GB of RAM *Patriot* G2 series PC3-10666 DDR3 2x4GB and GTX550 ti Graphics Card.
After upgrading the hardware and 'before' I began installing the new O/S to recognize the increased RAM I had np at all. As soon as I upgraded to the 64bit version,
BAM! BSOD anytime I try to run any type of games and random freezing. Thought of course it was driver issues, made sure to update all drivers, all Windows7 updates incl SP1.
Made absolutely no difference. Anytime I try to run Rift or WOW it'll work great for a few min, then BAM freeze then BSOD. Also intermittent freezing on various apps etc. Thinking perhaps the HD Audio Drivers that Nvidia automatically installed might be conflicting w/the Onboard Realtek HD Audio? But no way of telling for sure if that's what's causing the BSOD.
Here's example 1

Atm I haven't even bothered with trying to OC anything. Everything is at factory defaults in the bios etc. Any ideas or hlp would be greatly appreciated.
TYVM! :) Below are sys info basics. FYI: I set this up for a clean full install but seems it saved my old windows info in a windows.old folder. Don't think this could affect it but at this point I'm open to any suggestions!

FYI: I turned off 'auto' shutdown so I could read the msg. It said something along the lines of 'Attempted to execute memory that was inexecutable. Is it possible that the DDR5 that is used by the new graphics card is incompatible w/this mobo?
