Title: XP pro taking too long to to run SFC.

Hi everybody I'm ruining sfc /scannow it ask for the disk i put the disk in the drive .
is taking for ever is this natural .
its hp compaq nc6320
xp pro

Then do a repair install instead:
Boot to the XP CD and choose the SECOND repair option. Done properly, all apps and preferences will remain intact. You'll have to go to Windows Update and re-download / install all updates after the installation is complete. Hey Allan yea the laptop is ruelly slow i think tha the registry is been mess with .

OK i did a repair know when the computer boots up it saids this computer OS
needs to be activated and i click yes and it goes into the desktop but it does not show any icons and nothing comes on only the picture on the desktop tha set as backgroung.
Any advised?

I cant logon in safe mode either .Cus i need to actvated so its got to be
done in normal mode but the problem is tha after i choose yes to
activate the OS it takes me desktop and i get no icons no taskbar i get nothing
only the back ground picture i know tha has to do with explore.exe
