Title: Choose the program you want to use to open file cmd.exe

I ran a spy boot scan and then restarted. Screen came up with nothing but my pic and box asking open with, choose the program you want to use to open file cmd.exe. Scared to click on anything to create more problems. What should I do? List internet explorer and malware as 1st two choices

CMD.EXE is a safe file.
Trying rescanning your pc with a different antivirus or malware with Windows Defender or Microsoft forefront.

Can you run ANY .exe files? Please explain your problem in more detail.

Will need more help on how to proceed from the screen showing. How do I get rid of this screen. Should I choose something to open with to get anything to show up on desktop. Sorry beginner here

Can you boot to safe mode? If so, run a full scan with both your Anti Virus app and with MalwareBytes

When I turn on computer screen show message box open with choose the program you want to use to open this file file cmd.exe. Programs listed below recommended program Internet explorer malwarebytes, under there is other programs with several listed. Picture in background but nothing else. Should I unplug and restart or click on one of programs listed to open cmd.exe

Reboot. Begin tapping the F8 key as soon as the system boots. This will take you to the advanced boot option screen. Choose safe mode and then run the scans.

That would be fine if he could get into the OS.
