Title: Yet another WiFi Problem: HP HDX 16 Notebook with Windows Vista 64 Home Premium
Post by: Chaotic_Goth1431 on May 06, 2011, 09:40:29 PM
 :D

Hey there folks!

I've spent a good four hours attempting to fix my computer's wifi connection....reset the router, reset my IP, system restore, the works... My system is a laptop and there are two desktops that share the same wireless router. Their connections are fine, IP addresses, etc. as well (otherwise I wouldn't be posting lol). To avoid confusing the issue further, I've included a report.

Welcome!
Computer Hope is the number one location for free computer help.
The forum  help everyone with all computer questions.

Thanks for the details. Just on e thing. It is not clear that if you never had a connection or if you had it for awhile and then lost it.

It looks like you never run the Network Wizard, everything is turned off.  Did you run Wizard?

To get into a network you have to be at an Administrator level, not as a guest. Did you run the test as administrator?

By default the Windows system will try to network with a wired adapter, not the wireless. Did you run Wireless Network Wizard?

Have you tried a direct Ethernet connection?
