ctrl-alt-del
Their are no backs are restore points
I download vista recovery disk but had no luck with tha.

Geek 9pm I tried tha but got the same results .
Allan I tried tha too but got the same results .

The reason why i was trying too fix it instead of doing a factory recovery is because my client
haves quickbooks and she doesn't have the disk too installed it again .But after talking to him
about the situation he agree on doing a factory recovery.
So now im doing the updates and here soon about to installed MSE and removed norton

Its a Toshiba Satellite L3oo series

Good for you!
If the data is important,  the user has to you pay to protect it. Trying to recover important data without the right tools is very risky.
Hopefully your client will consider a backup plan suitable for quickbooks. There is a lot of information about how and why one must have a quickbooks backup plan. There is even online backup offered by different firms targeted to quickbooks users. Of course you already the official site is http://intuit.com and they have an 800 number.
