I'm on a Windows XP pro desktop, I tried to install Net Framework 4.0 and when installing that windows tells me that I have to install Windows Imaging Component first, so I made sure I downloaded the 32 bit version, but when I install I get the error seen below....
I cannot find anything on this error, anyone know how to solve this problem?
Thanx!

I think you're infected...thats not even a valid Win error message.

I just ran Superantispyware and Malwarebytes 2 days ago and came up clean, I guess I can run them again.....
-
Neither of those is an anti virus application. Do you have an av installed? If so, please run a full scan with it - and even then there's no guaranty it will catch every possible infection.

And where are these DLoads coming from ? ?

I have Comodo firewall installed, but I guess that doesn't qualify....Will look for one to install, I just recently reinstalled windows xp and after installing comodo I guess I forgot about a AV program.....

Remember how I said I reinstalled windows? Its because the computer all of a sudden would not boot up properly, so I had a guy fix that for me, but now when I try to update, windows says it needs to confirm my windows is legit, even though I have my install disc, it will not let me confirm it, and will not let me log in, it took me days to figure out how to get around that, so until I can afford to upgrade my computer to windows 7 I am stuck with no updates....
The point of me saying that is I have a feeling if I try to install MSE it will lead to problems, and my laptop is already being fixed now to boot.... ;D
Any other suggestions for a AV?

First of all, your system is probably infected. Second, are you saying that the current OS installation is not legit? If that's the case you need to correct that immediately.

It IS legit, I still have the disc and the box it came in, but for some reason when I try to enter the code it will not let me, it just reboots over and over....
