This is a notice to let everyone know who doesn't already know that the Mibbit servers were recently hacked and the accounts on that server have been compromised. I highly recommend if you happen to have registered your nick on the Mibbit IRC server (which is where Computer Hope resides) and you used the same password on the IRC server that you do on the Computer Hope forums or any other site that you immediately change the password.
Additional information about recovering your nick on the server is found on the below link.

Details about the hack are found on.

only the tools.mibbit.com test server was hacked and a very old database was stolen. Mibbit decided to have everyone change nick password and registered channel owner/founder password to admin channel be changed.
If you happen use the same passwords for other services , you are asked to change them also.

The database was from January 2010 incase anyone was wondering.
-
If you tried nick reset command a few times and don't receive the email:
send your nick and the email address you used when you registered to [email protected] (you'll get a temp password then)

Is it why ComputerHope was down for two days?
I was victim of it.
While reloading the page, not all of the data could be accessed.
Background was white and the page was imageless.
Then I've reload it another time and there were no ComputerHope at all.

No. This has nothing to do with any of the problems you've experienced. One sign that they might in fact be unrelated can be seen in the post dates. And of course that Mibbit has nothing to do with Computerhope's web server.

Computer Hope was down due to a MySQL database issue on our server. This was not due to a hack, just a corrupt table in the database. The issue should be resolved now though.

When did this happen?
