Title: Google sketchup 8
Post by: Steve M on August 26, 2011, 10:32:11 AM
I downloaded Google sketchup 8, but when I open it I get a "not responding" screen and an empty Instructor box. I'm using a laptop with windows Vista.
Any idea how I can get this software to work?

I'm sure the tutorials will come in handy, but it's getting SketchUp to start running in the first place that's the problem.

Take a look at system requirements at http://sketchup.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=36208&ctx=cb&src=cb&cbid=mlb4wx8d0ae1&cbrank=1

How do your hardware specs compare to requirements?

I managed to get it working by loading a sample sketch, which automatically opens the program.
