Hello
I recently Changed the HDD on this computer, because my old one went bad.
I changed it, everything was going well. But then when I tried to reinstall windows with the recovery disks, I got a nasty surprise.
I got the error:
This computer is not supported by the recovery disks.
You will not be able to recover this computer.
OK
Any help wood be grateful.

If this is an HP (or even if it is not) you could have a corrupt BIOS. The recovery disk reads an ID string in the BIOS to check if the machine is the correct make and model. You should contact the maker's Technical Support department.

The Problem is that this comp isn't under Warranty, And I don't have a windows CD.
I don't know if I could afford $*** for tech support.

There's nothing we can do to help you bypass this. If they are indeed the disks that came with the computer, they should work. If not, you will need to contact the manufacturer or check their website for information on what might be the cause.
