Hi
i right click my e: drive and select properties to assign it a hotkey but
But saw that the 'program' tab is missing in the properties dialogue box.
Only two tabs are there:
General , Tools
in general there should be five tabs:
General, Porogram, Memory, Screen , Misc

Can you go in a bit detail.

Shouvik:
The program tab is only available for DOS programs, not for drives. The tabs for a FAT32 drive's properties dialog box are:
* General
* Tools
* Hardware
* Sharing

Hi doc,
I have a Fat, but whether Fat 16 or Fat 32, I don't know that.
But it shows at System Properties ---> Performance tab as file System : 32 bit
My hdd is 2.1 GB.
surprisingly, when i drag the e drive to the start menu (above the "programs" option),
and then right click it > properties and then saw two tabs: General, Shortcut.
i can enter a shortcut key in the "shortcut" tab.
but when i right click the e drive in 'My Computer' >properties> i see two tabs: General , Tools.
i can not
enter a shortcut key here.

with the other issues you have with your system......i would suggest.........this command.......scanreg/fix......typed the the msdos prompt command// > start/programs/accessiories/ msdos prompt.
