Title: How to connect a shared Printer in Windows7 to Windows XP Home
Post by: SJV on March 20, 2012, 06:07:28 PM
Hi,

Currently we have small network running with different OS[Windows 7 , Vista & XP Home] in different PCs, We shared Printer in Windows 7 Professional, then connect to PC via Printer Sharing in Windows 7.

Windows XP Home Edition PC does not detect the shared printer in Windows 7 .

Can anyone provide a good solution to solve this issue please.

Thanks

If you have a router in the office and the printer is network-ready, i.e. has an ethernet port for connection to a router, you could connect the printer to the router and all computers could access the printer that way instead of printer sharing from one computer to other computers.
