Title: Need a professional to check
Post by: Jean-Pierre Kfoury on March 27, 2012, 03:35:46 PM
System.ini is showing me this:

; for 16-bit app support
[386Enh]
woafont=dosapp.fon
EGA80WOA.FON=EGA80WOA.FON
EGA40WOA.FON=EGA40WOA.FON
CGA80WOA.FON=CGA80WOA.FON
CGA40WOA.FON=CGA40WOA.FON

[drivers]
wave=mmdrv.dll
timer=timer.drv

[mci]
SO I just need a professional to check this and tell me if my laptop is infected or hijacked.
SUPERAntiSpyware log could not be posted cause the spyware isn't installing on my computer so i just skipped this step.

I don't understand. What is it you have a problem with in the system.ini?

And are you experiencing any particular problems?

There is no particular problem i know how to use my computer and how to keep it safe, but i just want to know if what system.ini is showing me means that i am hacked or something?

There is nothing questionable in your system.ini file. I'm moving this to a different forum in case you have more questions.

You can't make a .dds file "run". It is not an executable file.

no i meant the DDS file that you tell us to download and run before posting any thread about the viruses and the malware

The instructions for downloading and running that file are in the following link: http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,46313.0.html (http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,46313.0.html)

But since you don't have any issues I wouldn't worry about it.
