What is the make and model of the computer?

This.  There's probably a procedure to do a factory reset.  A long time ago I had an HP Jornada and that simply had a reset button on its base.

the computer is an elovo x6-7a netbook, it has a factory rest button on the back of the computer, i have tryed to reset it by pushing the rest button at the same time as holding the start button, it still wants a password.
The person who gave me it carnt remember the password as its along timesince it was used by him.

Yeah, I've just been around to the manufacturer's website myself and doing a lot of searching on this.

Manufacturer's website has almost no information about this computer, nor do they supply a manual. In the manuals they provided for other models of netbooks they manufacture, neither talked about how to reset the thing. They were just very generic manuals.

Also in my searching, I came across several websites where people had said they tried to email the company and never got a reply from them. While you can give it a shot, I wouldn't get your hopes up of getting help there.

From what I know of netbooks like this, they're more like really big phones than they are computers. I don't know exactly what you tried to reset it, but try some different ways of doing it. I know several phones I have had actually require you to push and hold the reset switch (or the power and reset together) for up to 10 seconds to initiate a restore function. Just pressing them together briefly seems to make them boot normally (specifically my Acer neoTouch S200, HP Ipaq rx1950, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 P-1000 all have this same behavior). Try holding them for as long as 20 seconds just to be sure.

I also read in some places that people have successfully installed an ARM compatible version of Linux on the system as well. Just a thought if all else fails.

You might get somewhere with this thread: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=130833463&page=1  You'd probably have to join that forum just to ask how the reset was achieved in the end.

Apart from quaxo's great suggestions, it might also be worth opening up the case to see if there's a lithium battery that can be removed/unsoldered from the motherboard.  Potentially that might be enough to factory reset - it certainly would have worked on many first and second generation PDAs.
