Title: want to reset my cisco dpc 2325
Post by: STC on April 27, 2012, 07:15:41 AM
i have charter cable internet and the tech set everything up

but it was a while ago, and my desktop is connected  via ethernet, but want to connect my tablet via wifi. and i dont remember the password

my modem is a cisco dpc2325, if i just push the reset button, (default username and password is blank blank) and go to 192.168.0.1 , will i be able to reconfigure the password for wifi?

i am just scared that if i push the reset button, my connection will drop, and ill have to call a tech to get it back.

it happend to me before when i had ATT dsl. (badtimesman.jpg)

The best thing is to con tact tech support. An write the settings down in a safe place.

Doing a hard reset on the modem /router will give you control of the router, but it may lose your internet connection.

Better to ask.

BTW: The browser can save passwords for you.
