i put in the win home premium cd in the drive and actually i wanted to format, i don't know what i did

pressed the on button and then pressed f12 as shown on the screen if u wanna boot
and chosen boot from cd as no option i found to do a proper format, as i remember i did on this and the previous acer lap,

Welcome!
Computer Hope is the number one location for free computer help.
The forum will help everyone with all computer questions.

Your slow computer may be due to any of several problems.
A. Mal ware infections such as spyware that monitors your habits.
B. The system has damaged file system
C. Poorly designed software your recently downloaded.
D . The Hard Disk Drive is failing.

There are other thins that can slow a computer down after one year or more. A common problem is a fan that has slowed down.

Do you know how to monitor internal temperatures?
SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer (http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php)
Try the above and see if the temps nae high. If so, you may need to get a replacement fan.

siby_1,

Maybe there is a wrong  understanding.
Formatting is the  same as restoration.

Did you restore Windows 7 to your computer?
Other than being slow, does nit work?

siby_1: You need to boot the laptop into the pre-configured recovery partition. To do this: Restart the laptop and after the dell logo appears then disappears press the f8 key repeatedly until you see the "Advanced Boot Options" menu. Then highlight "Repair your computer" and press enter. Click next then it will prompt you to enter the administrator account/password (the first account created when the computer was turned on for the first time). After you enter these click "Dell Factory Image Recovery and DataSafe options", then simply follow the prompts that are provided.

siby_1: Did your computer come with a windows 7 disc?

Here is what I would do: Go find a friend who has the same OS as you, and a disc for Windows 7 Home Premium. Then insert their disc into your computer, restart and boot to the disc. Then go through with the new install up until the point where it asks for your activation key. DON'T use the key on your friends' disc packaging, use the key on the Windows OEM sticker on the bottom of your laptop

i want to make my computer just like got from factory

The easy way to do that would be to use the restore partition.

Follow the instructions here:

no, it only got the dell drivers in a disc,
windows 7 home premium was already installed in it when i got the computer brand new

my friend also has the dell, he also stated the same thing as you people do,
but i didn't even get any ble screen which normally come when doing a formatting, which erases all in the c drive,
this reinstalling windows didn't have any effect on computer. i wanted it to be in a brand new condition
